What were your thoughts on the PlayStation Portable and PS Vita? Did you think it was good or bad? Do you have any favorite games or experiences with them?

Me, I thought that it was really good and interesting concept, especially the Vita. It tried and did a lot of things interestingly. I'm a little upset that it got discontinued, since they were the only challenge against Nintendo. Vita just needed more games to remain competitive.

>Did you think it was good or bad?
No opinions about the PSP since I never really dove into that system that much. As for the vita? I thought it was good for the most part but the expensive memory cards and the (somewhat) lack of games hold the system back from being truly great.
>Do you have any favorite games or experiences with them?
Gravity Rush was pretty great and the Musramasa Rebirth was an amazing remake.
>I'm a little upset that it got discontinued
Same and it was pretty much an true end of the dedicated portable gaming systems when the Vita was no more and Sony decided to call it quits with the handheld market.
>>Vita just needed more games to remain competitive.
Should of made SD/microSD cards as the default memory card option, tbqhwy.

I never owned either myself but emulated some PSP games. Peace Walker and Persona 3 Portable were pretty good I guess. As for the Vita it seemed like a good console if you were really into weeb JRPGs but I don't know of any specific titles. The Switch has pretty much taken over that audience anyway.

There was Uncharted, Killzone and Dragon's Crown. It was a real hollow list of releases in the Vita timeline.

I don't know why they never did that.

It's pretty much nothing but Nintendo handhelds from now on. I don't even think that either, because I think they'll just develop games exclusively for the switch from now on.

the cards were sony's own proprietary format, i'm sure they made bank off of them because they cost like 3 times more than sd cards did

people seem to forget that sony is a data storage company that won multiple format wars and also sells games on the side

And that's why the Vita didn't sell so well. They got too greedy. Most people won't pay money for that
