it reminds me of what i read about the first natty game bammer went to in the early 20s, more specifically how it was shown back home. they went to a theater (or something that would work the same idr) and got the plays over telegraph, which they then displayed with basically Xes and Os on a big board they made to resemble a football field for everyone at home
